Now in its 15th year, the London Design Festival brought another inspiring selection of design events across London.
During LDF we hosted a presentation on Casambi, demonstrating the Bluetooth control in lighting that is taking Europe by storm. The award-winning Casambi solution can be integrated with all Innermost’s lighting ranges, giving consumers the ability to control individual luminaires or industrial-scale installations using tablets and smartphones and switches. Guests were invited to try the system first hand, while enjoying a drink from our in-house gin bar. If you missed out, do get in touch for more info!
Our personal highlight of LDF was in our very own Oxo Tower Innermost showroom for our annual Gin Time Party! It was great to see so many familiar faces with a full house. Serving some delicious gin cocktails inspired by the new collection (like our Doric Negroni), it rounded off another great LDF.

Event : Decorex International 2017

We exhibited at the beautiful Syon Park for Decorex International 2017. As the industry’s most prestigious interiors trade event, it was a fantastic location to exhibit our new collection, along with some of our most luxurious chandeliers and classic pendant lights. Our new Panel chandelier made for a fantastic centrepiece and we had a great selection of lighting from the EOQ on display. Thanks for having us Decorex!

We are excited to announce the opening of a new studio in Hong Kong’s old Police Married Quarters.

Located in the prime location of Central, a short walk to the bustling heart of ‘downtown’ Hong Kong, PMQ promises to be “a place where designers of different disciplines will gather to design mind-blowing works without inhibition.” It will be a place of inspiration and chance encounters, creative mixing between bright minds from various trades, and a hip venue for design events.

PMQ was originally built in 1951 British Hong Kong as quarters for married policemen. Now, the historical compound is transformed into a cultural hub that nurtures and champions both local and international design brands to promote the appreciation of creativity, history, and culture.

A beautiful concept – Like the Oxo Tower we know and love in London, but now we can have it in Hong Kong as well!

Last week we held a great evening of inspirational design talks, networking and gin at our Oxo Tower Showroom in London; the event: ‘industry insights’, was in partnership with eporta. We heard inspiring talks from eporta, Casambi and EOQ while sipping on our in-house Ginnermost & tonic.

eporta gave a BIID accredited CPD presentation on best practice for sourcing Interiors, covering all aspects of sourcing from accessing the best designs to responsibilities, pricing and supplier management.

As the distributor for EOQ across Europe, we were delighted to be joined by EOQ founder Matt Pepper, who gave fascinating insight into the manufacture of the EOQ range. Accompanied by beautiful video footage, Matt explained how each piece of furniture and lighting is crafted with precision engineering, using unique design techniques that challenge traditional manufacturing methods. Classic items from the furniture range, such as 4a and Otto chairs and stools were used as the seating for the evening.

Stephen Jackson from Casambi and our co-founder Russell Cameron gave an introduction to the future of connectivity with the Casambi Bluetooth lighting control system. Dubbed ‘The most robust, cost effective and future proof wireless lighting control solution’, we were all invited to try out the app, play with the system and find out how Casambi can be used to change the way interiors look and feel, utilising more subtle effects like colour temperature, to boost alertness or to help to relax.

The event was a storming success, so thanks to all that joined us, and we are looking into planning the next very soon!

Event : Decorative Darc Awards 2017

Last week we attended Darc night for the lighting awards at the beautiful Bloomsbury Ballroom in London, where co-founder Russell had the honour of presenting a prestigious decorative Darc award. As sponsors of the event we provided our infamous ‘Ginnermost’ cocktails at the innermost bar, surrounded by a cluster of our Drop pendants. We also took home 3rd place for the multi-award winning YOYWall in the decorative wall light category.

SaloneSatellite celebrated its 20th anniversary this year with a special showcase in Milan: “20 Years of New Creativity”. The exhibition was an anthology of the most successful and best-known designs presented during the twenty editions of SaloneSatellite. This included an impressive 8 lighting and furniture pieces developed by innermost; from the ‘classics’ like the Jeeves Light to the award winners such as YOYLight and Canvas.
